The Natural Stone Industry Training Group
The NSITG is the principal source of information about careers, training, development and skills in the natural stone industry. It ensures that high standards are set and maintained, that appropriate training is available and it covers all aspects of the industry including quarrying, stonemasonry, banker masonry, stone and floor fixing, heritage masonry, façade cleaning and restoration.
The NSITG, which operates on behalf of everyone in the natural stone industry and its key aims are :
- To promote the natural stone industry as a rewarding career opportunity
- To increase the number of people participating in existing sector training and formal qualification options
- To develop new training and qualification provision where required
- To make it as easy as possible for employers to engage with employee skills development
- To celebrate, nuture and promote the talent within the industry
It is sponsored by Construction Industry Training Board CITB.
The Group meets virtually twice a year and new members are always welcome.
